Overview

NREC designed, developed and tested a fully autonomous system capable of following pre-taught paths while detecting and avoiding obstacles.

Being able to detect obstacles and terrain hazards significantly increases the safety of both manned and unmanned agricultural vehicles. The project uses machine learning techniques and sensor fusion to build a robust obstacle detection system that can be easily adapted to different environments and operating conditions.
