Gladiator



Overview



NREC designed, developed, field tested and successfully demonstrated Gladiator, a high-mobility tactical robotic vehicle for the US Marine Corps.

The Gladiator system includes a rugged mobile base unit, interchangeable mission payload modules, and a wireless data link. It’s operated with a hand-held controller and helmet-mounted view screen. 

Gladiator was designed by the Marine Corps to support dismounted infantry and combat engineers operating forward of ground combat element units.  Its operator and supported unit can remain concealed when it goes into action, improving the combat life expectancy of units performing hazardous tasks.
