Many NREC systems require electromechanical design and devices that are unique and very compact. To support this, we design and assemble on-site, custom printed circuit boards that typically incorporate a variety of microprocessors and special purpose integrated circuits. We develop custom actuators that incorporate electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic approaches. Our work with unmanned vehicles has led to the development of proven vehicle electronic control systems (vetronics) and hybrid electric power management systems.
